• Coming to a store near you....

Today we had a meeting to secure commercial kitchen space.  It went very well so we are going to talk with local businesses to distribute our items...As soon as we get final approvals we will post where we will be available and hopefully update this list often with new vendors.  If you are in the Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio area and are interested in having our unique flavors and designs in your stores, messages us for details.  Hope to be in your neighborhoods soon!!

  • Kokomo Con First time Sweet So Geek will sample and sell items on the spot!!!

Due to red tape and prohibitive pricing, the two events we have attended we had to disappoint many by only taking future orders and not letting anyone actually walk away with geeky yumminess in hand.  This ends on October 19th at KOKOMO CON!!

We will be sampling the flavors of the BATMAN BACON BITES as well as our cookies.

Here is the lovely things the people at KOKOMO CON had to say about us:

"These guys have taken every nerdy niche they can think of and make it in to something every geek (young and old) will love mucnhing on while perusing through the aisles of the convention.  Awesomely terrifying contraptions like the Deathstar are now turned in to a harmless, delicious cookie.  You can turn in to a zombie and munch on some white chocolate brains with oozy filling!  Or take on the entire chocolate Dalek Empire and devour your enemies"

    Check out more information at

Hope to see some of our current fans as well as meet tons of new people, see you there!!

  • Maker Faire 2013

Sweets So Geek went to the mecca of all things geeky, nerdy, and creatively eccentric in Fort Wayne, IN...basically all our favorite people, THE MAKER FAIRE!  We met a lot of great people and introduced a lot of great new flavors and designs!  We upgraded our TARDIS design and added Daleks, zombie pieces, and Mandalorian (Boba Fett) to our list of available items...I will post pics and they will be on our etsy site to order as soon as possible...If you can't wait just shoot us an email and we can get you prices and ship to your wonderfully impatient self ;)

Thank you again for everyone who came to see us and burst out in smiles and laughter when we showed off our fun flavors and geeky ideas.  We hope to talk to a lot people soon and deliver more yumminess to peoples door.

Buttery Shortbread and Raspberry Jam reside inside this spaceship, truly providing a flavor that is bigger on the inside! For a Mad Doctor twist we now have a Sriracha hot sauce infused chocolate ganache filling available as well.

  • Appleseed 2013

    Appleseed 2013

    Wow, what a week! Here’s a rundown of what’s been going on…

First, to those of you who has been a part of the long road that has brought us to this point, thank you. To my support staff, which also consists of my closest family and friends, you are the reason Sweets So Geek succeeds. I don’t know what I would do without you…

Second, what a day it was. To give you some insight, Appleseed Comic Con is one of the greatest one day shows around. Zack Kruse puts together a show that supports artists and creators like no other. His hard work doesn’t go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated! As this was our first convention appearance as more than a guest, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I have to say that the experience was exhilarating and rewarding. Being able to meet people who showed such great enthusiasm for our products was worth all the work to get to this point. I don’t know how many times Heather (my marketing, shipping, and logistical guru and lovely wife) and I looked at each other and just shook our heads in amazement. The outpouring of excitement was slightly diminished when we had to let people know they couldn’t buy items directly from us due to a non-competition clause the hotel attached to the convention center has (because they must have a secret production center for geeky sweets), but the fact is we had orders placed, contacts made, and we are now out there in the hearts and minds of the community.

What does this mean for Sweets So Geek? It means that hopefully you’ll see us out and about both in the Fort Wayne community at more events and within the comic convention circuit. I know we’re planning on one or two more convention appearances this year where we will be able to sell you our chocolates and cookies and whatever else we come up with and are looking into even more opportunities for 2014.

Once again, I have to say thanks. Thanks to those who have ordered from me directly or through my Etsy shop, thanks to those who have made suggestions or just been there in support, and thanks to those who have dealt with the fallout of the long hours spent working on chocolates, cakes, and cookies, the added pounds from the forced sampling of the confectionaries, and the invasion of all the supplies taking over our home. Without you, all of you, this wouldn’t be possible!

  • Welcome to Sweets So Geek!!!

Well, here it is. The official Sweets So Geek webpage.

A year ago, I made a few chocolates for some friends and family for Christmas. Now, I’m selling chocolates on the internet around the country, branching out into various retail establishments, and even setting out on the convention circuit to get the word out. In other words, I’m already tired.

So, what am I doing with this website? Honestly, I’m trying to figure it out as I go. My plan to use the site to, of course, spread the news about the happenings for the business, but I’m also going to start posting regular blogs about the way the business is shaping up. Highpoints and low points, difficulties and milestones, I’ll share my experiences here with you.

I hope you enjoy the journey.

I hope you enjoy the products.

And, most of all, I hope to bring you just a smidgen of the joy that this endeavor has brought me.

Thanks in advance, Sweets So Geekers!!
